What should we do to reduce fuel consumption

Cut the gadgets, I can crank my own window.
bring back no-draft windows and design the car for good natural ventilation so I don't need an air conditioner.
cut the safety requirements by cutting the speed limit to 55 and enforce it.
bring back more two-seater sports cars that are cheap and fun to drive; if we all drove miatas or MG's we would save gas and have more fun.
don't do anything; when gas is 12 bucks a gallon the market will decide.
With the new CAFE regs, we will all be driving Yarises and Fits anyways and Ford and GM will be distant memories.
